Ensemble Lunaire
Together with the singer Viviane Hasler, I founded the contemporary music ensemble Lunaire in 2013. The initial project was "Delirio Amoroso", a staging and adaptation of the Händel cantata of the same name, which we combined with contemporary works. At that time, we already wanted to break away from the traditional concert situation and find new possibilities of musical performance in combination with other art forms. Working with young composers was also close to our hearts, which is why we commissioned compositions for the following projects. Between 2013 and 2015 I worked as a flutist and project manager for Ensemble Lunaire.
DELIRIO AMOROSO
The first project of Ensemble Lunaire: The setting was the cantata "Delirio amoroso" by G.F. Händel, newly arranged for the ensemble's cast. It tells the story of Clori, whose lover has died (but without returning her love). She concludes that he must have ended up in the underworld and sets off to Hades to save him. Händel's music is interrupted and illuminated by interludes of contemporary music and improvisations.

FRAGMENTE
Music and Lyrics by Schubert and Hölderlin
Friedrich Hölderlin and Franz Schubert - two unrecognised geniuses. Hardly noticed during their lifetime, they created works under the sign of Romanticism; far ahead of their own time. In its second concert programme, Ensemble Lunaire now brings together the revolutionary of the art song and the author of Hyperion in a unique way. Illness, loneliness and death, but also closeness to nature, hope and unrequited love define the works of both artists. In Ensemble Lunaire, they merge; the two contemporaries, who most likely never met, become one with each other.

DIE AUSLÄNDER
In times of Pegida, the mass immigration initiative, the terror of ISIS and a refugee crisis not seen since the Second World War, prejudices and discrimination against foreigners of foreign origin seem to be on the rise in many places. A mass of foreigners overrunning our country, “density stress” - illusion or truth? Aren't we all foreigners somewhere? Contemporary works by Klaus Huber, Peter Ablinger and Frederic Rzewski, among others, will be accompanied by texts by nationals and foreigners on the subject. In addition, two world premieres by the Kosovar composer Anda Kryeziu and the Serbian composer Tamara Lazić will be performed. A multicultural art scene is absolutely necessary to create art. Ensemble Lunaire thus advocates for more tolerance and wants to create an intercultural dialogue, which once again focuses on human beings themselves and not on politics.
